Shelter-in Place (or shelter-in-Studio as we like to call it led to Zoom meetings and a remote book exchange.  Twenty members participated and made a book a week for twenty weeks.  We had no idea shelter in place would last that long!  Each week we sent a book to a member on the list.  Here are some of our “isolation creations”.

Col.L.A.B.oration:  Letterpress to Artist Books

BABA maintain a tradition of collaborating with other artists and printmakers.  This spring printer Linda Stinchfield of Turtlesilk Press provided identical sets of fifteen of her prints to participating BABA members. Here are the books we created using Linda’s work.

Every year the Book Jam includes a marketplace of book artists and book-related vendors who display and sell their wares.  Click on the links below to visit the “booths” of this year’s exhibitors.

Each year, BABA brings together speakers addressing a wide array of topics related to book arts to help illustrate the breadth and diversity of the form; ranging from book artists, poets, printmakers, conservators, teachers, painters, medievalists, and beyond. This year, we are working on bringing these presentations into the digital realm for your enjoyment in the comfort of your own home.
